Hanoi - Halong Bay 5 Days 4 Nights
Day 1Hanoi – Arrival
Warmly welcomed on arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International airport by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy some local food for lunch when arrive at the city center.
Take the half day city tour in the afternoon to visit the Temple of Literature, Fine Arts Museum, Museum of Vietnamese History…
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel in Hanoi.
Day 2Hanoi – Halong Bay
After breakfast, transfer to Halong City for around 3.5 hours with a break en route at local coffee shop. Arrive by noon at the quayside, board on Halong Bay cruise to begin a cruise through the spectacular Halong Bay, stopping along the way to explore the limestone caves or just lazing about on the sundeck of our boat.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Halong Bay is one of Vietnam's most spectacular natural wonder. The tiny limestone islands are dotted with many beaches and grottoes created by the wind and the waves that province an excellent backdrop for swimming.
Lunch and dinner served on board.
Day 3Halong Bay - Hanoi
Enjoy breakfast and continue your exploration of Halong Bay. At 11:00 am, disembark the cruise and transfer back to Hanoi.
After dinner, enjoy the famous Water puppet show.
Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
Day 4Hanoi Day Trip
Option 1: Hoa Lu Tam Coc
Located in Ninh Binh province (100 km southeast of Hanoi), Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are two of the most picturesque spots in all of the north. During 41 years, from 968 to 1009, Hoa Lu was the ancient capital of Vietnam. Nearby Tam Coc is often referred to as “Ha Long Bay on land”. Visitors are conveyed by rowboat along the peaceful Tam Coc stream past green fields and the feet of mountains into the mouths of caves where they encounter new surprises like stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer like gemstones just inches from the water.
08.00: Pick up at hotel. Departure for Hoa Lu –Tam Coc. There is a beautiful roadside scenery on the way.
10.30: After arriving in Ninh Binh province, the guide takes you to visit Hoa Lu – the Ancient Royal capital of Vietnam.
12.10: You’ll have lunch at a nice restaurant before boarding a small boat to visit Tam Coc which literally means: “Three Caves”. With Halong type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as countryside sights like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all
17.00: Depart for Hanoi and arrive back in the city around 19.00. Have dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.
Option 2: Duong Lam Village.
Duong Lam Village is in the former Ha Tay Province and about 60 km west of Hanoi. This village has been known as a museum of laterite with ancient houses aged up to 400 years old. It is also the only place in Vietnam where two kings came from. After the recognition of Hoi An ancient town and Hanoi old quarter, Duong Lam was recognized as a national relic in 2005.
8h00 am Pick up at hotel. Depart for Duong Lam village.
Upon arrival, bike along tiny ancient alleys to visit Mong Phu communal house in Mong Phu hamlet - the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes. Continue riding around the village to discover the daily life and farming working of Vietnamese peasants along the terrace with a stop in two ancient houses: the biggest ancient house was build 200 years ago and the most ancient house back to 400 years ago.
Have lunch at a local house.
In the afternoon, continue visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung. Again biking to visit Mia Pagoda (other hamlet in Duong Lam village), is built in 15th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes, along with are famous sculpture such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Viagra Deities. Drive back to Hanoi.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Option 3: Cooking class
Learn new cooking skills and experience the tastes and textures of the cuisine of Vietnam in an interactive and enjoyable way. You will prepare dishes under the guidance of experienced chefs at your own work station and each workshop will conclude with tasting the food you have prepared, accompanied by local beer or wine, in our comfortable dining area.
All guests will receive detailed recipe cards to take home at the end of the class.
Day 5Hanoi – Departure
You will be at leisure until it is time to leave for your flight.
