It is a famous specialty of the island district Van Don, also called elephant-trunk-like shellfish. It is less common and fewer than clams, shrimps or scallops ... but surely visitors cannot forget the unique taste of this seafood if enjoying it once. Snout otter clam can be steamed, grilled, made as salad, porridge or soup – all are very delicious.

“Be Be” shrimp (called mantis prawn or sea mantis by Southerners) is a fairly typical sea food in Cat Ba. It is salt pan-fired “Be Be” shrimps.
Quang Ninh province is not only famous for Ha Long Bay but also known for a lot of sea food. One of them is blood cockle species in Yen Hung. Blood cockles also known as the rice clams often live in sand beaches or sea quagmires.
